Buddhists all over the world celebrates Buddha's birthday by using fragrant water to bathe the image of the Baby Buddha.
Bathing of Baby Buddha is a very important festival for all Buddhists. This ritual highlights an important message which states
"ITS VERY EASY TO WASH AWAY PHYSICAL DIRT BUT ITS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO CLEANSE ONE'S INNER DIRT (SUCH AS GREED, ANGER & INGNORANCE)"
This ritual improves harmony and inner balance by following these steps:
Kneel down in front of Baby Buddha statue
Fill ladle and pour over Baby Buddha statue 3 times
While pouring the water, say the following:
1st pouring : May I eliminate all evil thoughts
2nd pouring: May I cultivate good deeds
pouring: May I help save all living beings
